Natural Dye Meet-up

A small group of us gathered in midtown LA at ArtsGarage (Absolutely the best weaving classes in all of So Cal!) for a dreamy day of natural dyeing. We all showed up with whatever we had, and somehow it all worked – as it always does!

We used onion, avocado, mustard, black walnut, fennel and copper, and eucalyptus. Plus a bit of indigo, at its tail end. We had a small seed swap, and @SymbioticForm brought fresh farm eggs! Conversation flowed, from thoughts of alternative economic systems to – I’m quoting @_huemane_ here, “how to begin and continue to think and live differently within our urban ecosystem and to continue to live out the economy of abundance and generosity as demonstrated by the natural way.”
